Are You Jumping on the Video Selling Wave?

If you are concerned in any type of email promoting, you’ve certainly heard about the new buzz… Video email selling. If this intrigues you and you need to start with this in your promoting mix, follow the next few tips before you get started.

1. As with anything, start little and experiment. Video e-mail is a particularly powerful tool. It can show what your products have to supply, help instill trust in patrons thru video testimonials, and give your e-mail list recipients a total look at what you have got to offer. Start slowly. Do a short tiny video to dip a toe in the water. Make it something imperative but not overly-ambitious. Your goal is to begin with a video that’s cheap and works rather well and that you can create with your own digicam or Web cam. Once you’ve got an established audience and they’re listening, you can pay a touch more for highter quality. Use Easy Video Player.

2. Going together with those self same lines, keep your video short. Bear in mind that, although video e-mail selling is fascinating, the people you are sending it to do not have lots of time. Try to keep your video in between half a minute and one minute and keep it as an intro to something better that’s to come in your email.

3. Remember about your e-mail layout and text.
In all of the excitement of this new medium, it’s understandable that you will target your video. But don’t forget that your e-mail still desires links, pictures and good, motivating text. Though your open rates may increase when you use video email, not everybody will watch it. For this reason, use the video as an enhancement… not the entire point of the email. That beef should be in the text.

4. Test it first with your base.
Consider sending a video email toa small group of your list first (the ones that usually open your emails). You can even contact them at once first and ask them if they will give you some feedback. A different eye can offer you some suggestions that you haven’t even considered.

5. Build a video e-mail subscriber list
Some of your e-mail recipients will like the new video way of communicating and other won’t so it’s a good idea to seperate the two. One way to do this is to ask all your readers what they prefer and then just divide them up.

Video e-mail promoting is still awfully new and unestablished, but it’s's definitely unique and can open up new methods to brand yourself, make new sales and raise interest in your products and services. Again, you do need to start little and show patience. Don’t get discouraged if people don’t seem to show interest. This new medium may be the new standard before long so it’s a smart idea to wet your feet with it right now.
